Baby Jake is 3!!!

Okay, Jake turned 3 over a month ago, but so far 2013 has been super busy.  Between working as a contract speech-language pathologist for early intervention, as well as, staying home with the kiddos, life has been a little crazy.  I love it when people say how busy they are...who isn't??? It has been hectic. :)

Anyway, our sweet boy turned 3 in January.  He had a Toy Story themed family party in B'ham.  My sis told me that we have to quit referring to him as "Baby Jake" since he is 3 years old.  I guess I must but old habits die hard.  He has always been known as "Baby Jake" in our family and with our friends. Now check out the pics. of our  "big boy." :)

Merry Christmas!

We had a fabulous Christmas with our family.  We spend a few days in B'ham, and then returned for a Dorminey Christmas at home.  We had a wonderful time seeing family and friends during the month of December. Here are some photos from these happy times.

Happy Halloween From Buzz and Rapunzel!!!

Visits From The Tooth Fairy

Ava lost her first tooth one Wednesday morning in late October. She lost another tooth shortly after this picture was taken.  She is quite the celebrity at preschool since nobody else has lost a tooth.  I have never seen her more proud than when that bloody tooth fell out. :)

Komen Race For The Cure

Well, I did it! I ran my first 5K, and I ran the entire race.  It was quite an emotional experience for me since my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer this year. After her initial diagnosis, I knew that I wanted to run this race to honor her.  Throughout the course of this year, I have been amazed by her strength and resilience.  She truly is my hero...hence, the shirts. :)  I ran the race for my mom and for one of my other good friends who faced breast cancer this year. Thankfully, both of these incredible women are doing well today.  Anyway, the race was a wonderful experience.  I was so inspired with seeing all of these amazing women wearing pink survivor t-shirts.  Nobody's family is ever the same once a loved one has cancer.  I can say that our family is closer than ever, and I hope to always support causes that fight against breast cancer. To quote my favorite shirt seen at  the race, "Big Or Small, Let's Save Them All!"

Disney!!!!

The Days/Dormineys/Gibbs went to Disney World this past September. We had a wonderful time! The character meals were a big hit with the kiddos.  I believe I rode "It's A Small World" 4 or 5 times with Ava while Johnny rode the Buzz Lightyear ride with Jake countless times.  It was truly magical seeing Disney World through Ava and Jake's eyes.  Highlights of the trip included attending the Princess breakfast with my mom, Ava, and sister, Tricia, watching the Electrical Parade at the Magic Kingdom, eating lunch with the Disney Junior characters at Hollywood Studios, and watching my sweet Jake's face light up when he met his heros "Buzz" and "Woody" from Toy Story.  Many wonderful memories were made, and I'm already counting down the days until our next trip...okay years. :)

War Eagle...Anyway!

Ava insisted on wearing one of my old Auburn University Majorette uniforms.  She has alot of room to grow, but here is her picture from gameday.
