Jake's 1st Day of Mom's Day Out

I was pretty nervous about Jake's first day at Mom's Day Out. He is not a fan of being left at church so I was dreading the moment of saying "bye."  Jake walked in the classroom like such a big boy. I was so proud of him.  He saved the wailing for his second day. :)  Here are some pictures of Jake and Ava on his big day.

1st Day of 4K!!!

Last weekend Ava began swimming underwater for the first time.  She took swim lessons this summer and improved alot. However, last Saturday she finally put it all together and took the plunge. Now, she loves swimming.  We're so proud of her!  Here are some pictures of her swimming debut.

Well, Isaac spared our part of the Gulf Coast.  He just doesn't want to leave.  The kiddos and I have been home since Monday afternoon.  Johnny has been home for the past two days, and he is still here.  The flooding in Mississippi has made it pretty much impossible to arrive safely at work.  We are taking the days at home in stride...sort of. Yesterday, things got pretty desparate so I pulled out my trusty clarinet and entertained the family.  They were thrilled! :)  Johnny practiced his juggling.  The kiddos painted everything not attached to the house, and we stomped around outside in the rain.  I even made everybody watch some of my old AU majorette videos.  Fun times!  Here are some pictures of ways we have entertained ourselves during all of this wind and rain.

Zoo Day!

The kiddos spent last week with my parents.  I missed them like crazy, but I accomplished alot of little projects around the house.  We met at a half-way point on Saturday to pick them up.  We went to the zoo to commerate our reunion.  Here are some pictures from our fun day.
